Location Southwestern Pennsylvania - approximately 70 miles SSE of Pittsburgh
Primary activity White water rafting on the Youghiogheney [yawk i GAY nee] River
"Ohiopyle Trading Company" (White Water Tour Company)

  • Visit to "Fallingwater" (internationally renowned house designed by Frank Llyod Wright which straddles a waterfall)
  • Caving in Laurel Caverns
  • Visit to Carnegie Science Museum in Pittsburgh
  • Patrol-based Scout skills
  • Relevant merit badge activities
  • Hiking
  • Games and other fun

Cost Approximately $225 +/- per Scout. Costs for non-staff adults and staff TBD.
Participation Approximate capacity 16-25 Scouts, approximately 6-8 staff and non-staff adults.

Typical temperatures for the area in mid-April Highs in low 60s, lows in upper 40s (think September or October campouts)
